Celox Rapid Haemostatic Z-Fold Gauze 

Celox Rapid is the fastest-acting hemostatic gauze, which stops severe arterial bleeding with only 60 seconds of compression. The current generation of hemostatic agents needs at least 3 minutes of compression to work.

Time is critical when treating severe injuries in the field, and saving time increases the chance of survival for the casualty in an emergency or hostile situation. To be effective in real use, haemostatic dressings need to work fast.

The Celox Rapid Haemostatic Gauze is designed to help stop bleeding from emergency, life-threatening injuries and can be used to temporarily treat arterial lacerations that result in catastrophic blood loss. It aims to stabilise the casualty at the scene or on the battlefield, ready for transport for further medical care.

Testing

Independent testing on Celox RAPID has shown the product works on lethal injuries and significantly reduces blood loss compared to Quikclot Gauze. In addition to reducing treatment time and blood loss, a model of tactical evacuation showed that the Celox RAPID Gauze remained in place during transport, with no re-bleeding.

CELOX™ gauze demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in survival (7%) and most evidently in the more severely injured. Independent comparative tests in the form of a meta-analysis reported a statistically significant improvement in survival with CELOX™ Gauze, compared to alternative agents.
